Why donate
WeBudget is an independent project, built by one person in Italy: no investors, no intrusive ads, no selling your data.
But keeping an app online costs money every month, and costs grow with the number of people using it. Donations pay for the services that keep it running and the time to improve it.
Where the money goes
Today's rough figures: they grow with users.
- DomainThe website address: about €10–20 a year.
- Hosting and serversVercel, where the app runs: from $20 a month once the project grows.
- Database in EuropeNeon, with data in the European Union: free at first, then pay-as-you-go.
- Email and notificationsBrevo for email (password reset, invites), error monitoring with Sentry.
- Privacy and complianceLegal review of privacy and terms, cookie banner: financial data deserves care.
- TimeNew features, fixes and replies to support requests.
What changes if you donate
Nothing locked, for anyone
Every feature stays free for everyone: donors don't get extra features, they help the app exist.
No more ads
If you see banners in the app, after donating write to us with your account email: we'll remove them from your account.
A real thank-you
Every donation, however small, counts: it pays for a month of servers and says the project is useful.
Questions
Is it safe?
Yes: you pay on PayPal, with your account or a card. We only receive the donation and the name PayPal shows us.
Do I need a PayPal account?
Usually not: PayPal lets you pay by card without an account (depending on your country).
Do I get a receipt?
PayPal emails you a confirmation. It's a voluntary donation to a personal project: it isn't tax-deductible.
Can I donate monthly?
If PayPal offers it, you can pick "Make this monthly" on the donation page. Cancel any time from your PayPal.
